4/21/17 - Murfreesboro, TN - Kristen Barkuloo was selected to receive the Hillary Scott Scholarship at the MTSU College of Media and Entertainment, Department of Recording Industry. Hillary Scott, of Lady Antebellum, attended MTSU from 2004 through 2006 as a recording industry major, and established the scholarship for young women seeking careers involving the creative aspects of the music industry. From theboot.com, Lady Antebellum's manager Daniel Miller said of the scholarship, "Whether it be a songwriter, a producer, an engineer, whatever...hopefully this will allow several young women the opportunity to achieve their dreams indefinitely." Kristen was proud and honored to receive this scholarship in April as she completes her Bachelor's degree in December 2017 in Recording Industry Management, Music Business emphasis.
